Spain experiences mild temperate weather almost all year round, although rain and colder weather can be expected during winter and early spring. The best weather is normally experienced in the early part of the season during August and September. Traditional shooting clothes are recommended, but if you prefer, less conventional clothing is fine. The most important thing is to be warm and comfortable. Guests normally dress in smart, but casual attire, for dinner in the evenings.
A hat is needed to keep the sun out of your eyes. The later the season gets, the more important it becomes to have a wool hat with ear flaps to keep you warm .
A light pair nice for shooting in cool conditions. You will also need a warm pair, especially later in winter.
Cartridges of all calibers, in 28 grams, 30 grams and heavier loads in 12 bore cartridges and 24 or 26 grams in 20 bores. In practice, light loads are quite sufficient, although some guests will manage longer shots with heavier cartridges.
We are often asked which are the best chokes for this type of shooting. In our opinion improved and modified are suitable for most drive, although for a few drives it would be changing to full and full!
